Malbec reeds are Gonzalez’s latest release in saxophone reeds. Based on the well-known Jazz Local 627, they share their basic characteristics, but utilise a Filed cut. Their sound has excellent clarity and projection, as well as being brighter than that of the Classic reeds.

Malbec’s Filed cut gives the reed extra flexibility, something that the musician will notice immediately in the mouth.
