The GD cut owe their name to the union of families Gonzalez and Davolos, the current owners. Designed for great soloists seeking superior and deeper sound, its strength is divided into ¼ strengths for more accurate choice.

It is made exclusively with our best material, of higher diameter and thickness. The thicker blank and larger diameter material would normally be used in the manufacture of Alto saxophone reeds. This give a much deeper sound. The cane is aged and seasoned in storage for at least 3 years.  The GD reeds have a classic French Cut with a longer scraping area and more wood in the heel, producing a vibrant and full sound that lasts.
